Interesting points here. I agree with the author's perspective. Latest I might add is the Obama anger over what Bush said. The man has got to get over his apparent sensitivity to what the President says. If he reads into what Bush said about dealing with terrorists and assumes Bush is aiming it at him, and then publicly blasts the President for the assumption, Obama is going to have a tough road ahead of him in the next few months. Furthermore, anyone who wants Obama as President had better wonder about the man's judgment and what he is going to do and say not only to terrorists, but to anyone influential or powerful that he "thinks" is saying something aimed at him.

I agree. Even now, all the attention has been on Edwards and Hillary's win continues to be downplayed by the press. The DNC and media can continue to rave about the greatness of Obama and show how all the superdelegates and everyone is endorsing Obama and how great he is and continue to shove this man down our throats but people are not stupid. Things are often not as they appear to be.....this election certainly shows how image may not be reality. I believe that ultimately the DNC and mainstream media will be accountable for how they conducted and distorted this election before the nation's voters.

Although I had been a Democrat for over 30 years, and it was painful for me to go register as an independent voter, I realized that perhaps Obama was right: it was time for a change. If Clinton is not the nominee, McCain will be president. That isn't change. The change will be much harder and longer. There will be a new party or two. The old men of the DNC will may have their little party, but we who have been abandoned are hardly ready to die off. We are a significant political force. We are between 35 and 55 and we have an expected lifespan of 80+ years. We have been hurled aside because of sexism and misogyny, and if the DNC thinks that will not cost them, they have another thing coming.

I am gay. Even if Obama were gay, I would not vote for him. I don't vote by sexual orientation, sex, race, creed, color, etc. I vote by policies, character, political knowledge, work ethic, and love for America. I stand behind Hillary Clinton.

I too am one of those Feminists that will vote for McCain even though it is against all I believe and have worked for my entire career, Special Needs Teacher in New Orleans LA Schools as a white woman, and was never made to feel that I was a Racist. Guns and Gospel Choir Groups were regular occurances in the school Settings. I was raised by racist parents and know all of the subtle forms that this pervasive discrimination takes in all racial groups Caucasian,African-American, Hispanic, and Oriental. The race card is a no win situation as it is met to make all other not of the race feel unworthy or less than good.

Count me in, too. And I know about a dozen family and friends in Los Angeles who are lifelong Democrats who will NOT vote for Obama in November if he's the nominee. Most will vote for McCain to send a clear message to the DNC that you can't shove an unwanted candidate down our throats who won't be able to win a GE. I’m disgusted with the Dean, Pelosi, Kennedys and Kerrys of the Democratic party over their disgraceful treatment of Hillary Clinton, combined with the main stream media's kid-glove, rock star treatment of Obama during this campaign. Not only do I intend to defect from the party, but will put a McCain bumper sticker next to my Hillary Clinton sticker to show eveyone that yes, I'M ONE OF THE CLINTON SUPPORTERS WHO WILL VOTE FOR MCCAIN. Obama is a liar and I am sick of his getting a pass from the media and the powers that be in the DNC over his lies with Rezko, Wright, Ayres, Odinga, his embellished past, his bittergates and his unbelievable sense of entitlement to this nomination with such a flimsy background!!!!

Is this going to be sent? If it is, I want to sign it. I will never vote for this man. I would only consider it if Hillary is at the top of the ticket, teaching him what democracy is, and how to hold his hand over his heart. How to treat women, you know the basics!!

I couldn't agree more! I'm a lifelong Democrat who is now ready to leave the Democratic party after their disgraceful treatment of Hillary Clinton, combined with their deifying Obama during this campaign. Not only do I intend to defect from the party, but I will support John McCain in every possible way if it comes down to him against Mr Empty Suit in November. There isn't an ice cube's chance in hell that I will EVER vote for Obama...the racist, anti-American, elitist, money-laundering fraud.

Here now, this week, and next week, Barack Obama, the presumptive Democrat nominee, will have lost every election since February except North Carolina and Guam, and lost nearly two thirds of the vote in West Virginia, and yet the media will sweep it all under the rug, flailing about wildly to find burning crosses and white sheets instead of recognizing Obama's significant general election vulnerabilities. Thank you West Virginia!

Count me in as well. There are so many things I've been saying for a while included here and then some.

The pundits keep saying that Clinton supporters will come around and embrace Obama. I can honestly say that I will NOT embrace the guy. I think he's full of deceit and his wife is full of contempt.

Press on Hillary, press on!

We want justice and truth, not to be told to stay positive and think good thoughts.

Have You Ever Seen A Concentrated 35 Year Steady Movement & Effort Have To Take Place To Elect Any Man?
This is all such baloney! Donna Brazile asked me "why couldn’t the Clinton's have waited?"
SUPER DELEGATES THE EYES OF THE NATION & THE WORLD ARE ON YOU If your job was simply to vote the constituency, you wouldn’t be needed for close races. ! She should stay as long as she wants. Most his supporters would vote for he. Most of hers, not for him. We want justice and truth, not to be told to stay positive and think good thoughts.

I am not speaking racist or sexist. I am speaking about strategy and greed having been put above all other issues that burden Americans. I am speaking about justice and injustice. Being the elder, with a thirty five year steady movement behind her, and 70% of voter support prior to Barrack entering the race, this was Hillary’s time for Americans. Due to the 2006 knowledge of a large voter turn out, the Democratic National Committee chose to try and elect what would be our first African American president. While young, the hope of the quick building, arm twisting elites of the DNC and sudden persuasion for African American politicians to leave the Clinton Campaign was like an opening of floodgates. The therefore a “broken” 2008 Coalition for an Election based on Race began. The seeds of division were planted and now have trickled down to the public, who is furious that they have been asked to vote for Race or Gender in the same election and at such a crucial time of War, Security and Economics that faces Americans. Once again the public has been played by the good ‘ol Washington tricks and special interests.

Obama would show enough experience, in the frenzy of an impatient nation with his charismatic articulation of hope. This atmosphere would present probably the best good opportunity for a younger, hopeful African American. His and the DNC’s strategy is politics as usual reflecting the very actions in Washington Senator Obama vows to end.

One should note that without the Democratic Party, we would still not see a person of color or a woman running for office. And the country needs a desperate break from primarily Republican rule over the past three decades. Senator Clinton had the dignity and courage to agree to cough up her some 70% lead and national support from late 2006, which is something I, possibly the nation have never seen either party do! She has been stomped on harshly for three months by manipulating pundits and long time politicians who have a vested interest in manipulating Obama’s youth to push through legislation that otherwise, with some democrats like Hillary Clinton, they could not achieve before retiring into the sunset for the historians to bless them positively.

Thanks guys! All we wanted was justice and the truth. Not to be told stay positive, think good thoughts. All we wanted was possibly eight years (being the elder) of Madam President to end the long movement for the equality of women with another eight years from Obama, ending the race issue, while all the time making change and undoing the horror of the Cheney/Bush years. Someone got selfish! And it has not been Hillary Clinton or the millions of Americans who have worked billions of hours from beginning in their youth, walking with her over 35 years to the steps of the White House. Shame on the DNC this election. Stop blaming Hillary Clinton for your mess!

Obama is someone whom I will NEVER, EVER VOTE FOR IN NOVEMBER. It is very sad that presidential election for 2008 had to come to this. The 2008 presidential election was the democratic party's to lose, but with Obama has their nominee it is McCain's to win.

I totally agree with the letter. Im currently deployed in the Navy, and I cannot believe that Barrack thinks that he has this nomination in the bag. I know me and a lot of my friends who support hillary will never, ever vote for obama after his nasty campaign and slickster mentality. I am a democrat at heart and will never vote for a republican either but I will stay at home if he is the nominee and watch and laugh when he fails miserably and then everyone blames him for breaking the party up.

The tactic(fear & ignorance) used by the conservatives and ill-informed is nothing new. Just the thought of having a qualified candidate that doesn't look like "white america" will cause people to panic in their responses. Look what they did with the image of Jesus, in spite of His description in the scriptures. Elisabeth goes out of her way to magnify her attack Obama, unlike Hilary, even though she's obviously Republican.

This has been all over PR in their main stream media but not one word of it here. If it was Hillary they would be yelling the story from the roof tops. What are they trying to do to America by shoving this man down our throats? It is disgusting and if it were not true wouldn't he sue them? Many of the stars sue them when they print wrong things, why wouldn't he sue them as well or speak out about it or something?
