Voters can THINK

by an Obama Who? contributor;

This morning I got up and saw that one of Hillary’s supporters has jumped ship and went to back Obama.  I sat back and watched this and wondered what he was reading or what TV channels he was watching when he said Obama handled the Wright issue wonderfully???

The problem with Rev. Wright is that Obama has not handled it at all.  Most people believe it was a stunt for him to act like it is behind him and it was staged.  Even the Black community is beginning to speak out about Obama and his questionable tactics.

People whisper about how if Obama does not get the election it will be like 1968 but worse. Honestly I believe this is just a scare tactic to get the SD’s to support Obama. They should be more worried about if they will get re-elected from backing him as he seems to be toxic to politics.  These whispers anger me as they do not give the black people enough credit.  Sure there are those in the black community who would get out there and raise trouble but there are also those in the white community who would do the same.

Wright, Farrakhan, Jackson, and Sharpton are old school.  They are from a different generation and even though they are given respect for their accomplishments in the black community, they do not represent the current thinking of ALL the black people.  The stereotyping of blacks in the media has to stop.   The media is portraying them as a bunch of mindless people who all follow Obama just because of his skin color and this is simply not the case.

I know it is hard for the black people as they feel it is time they have a president who represents their ethnic background.  This is understandable but don’t judge them all into one group.  They can think.  They watch television and many of them are concerned over the same issues as everyone else.  They understand what and who Ayers is and are nervous about Obama’s relationship with him just like anyone else.

So, why am I writing this?  It was sparked from some posts I have been reading on the internet where the blacks are being called horrible names, told to get off the board and go worship their black God Obama. They were treated horribly.  I do not like Obama and I make this VERY CLEAR in my writings but it is NOT his skin color I do not like, it is him.  I don’t like his wife (love McCain’s wife though) I don’t like the mess of trash hanging all over Obama such as Rezko, Wright, Ayers, Michelle Obama, Dohrn, Naftagate, Fingergate, Muslim ties, Black Panther Party, Farrakhan, Million Man March, Nation of Islam, and the constant lies he tells.  It is Obama that I object to and if he was white I would still object to him if he had all these issues.

Because we do not like a particular political candidate or their trash they carry around, it does not give us the right to get out here and bash an entire group of people over it.  There are many black people out here who support Hillary Clinton and John McCain. They are not a group of zombies who all rally around Obama just because he has black skin.  Many of them know Obama is a racist by his own words, in his books he admits this.  The people of today are not the same people of 1968 and they understand that violence is not the way to show what you are feeling.  Taking to the streets and hurting people, burning down towns and looting is not the way to show anger, it just causes more divides.  We need to stop and think before we get out here and bash people over their skin type and the media needs to stop and think before they portray all black people as zombies mindlessly following Obama since this is simply not true.

    Hi ya angel:) This is one I have to agree on totally. It makes me mad when I see these things on the television where the talking heads state that Obama will take this place or that place just because there are a lot of black people there. That is so not cool. I agree 100 percent that they do not give the black people enough credit. I even seen today where the black community at his church is throwing Obama under the bus for the way he treated Wright. That in itself shows that they do not rally around him 100 percent and many of them may say one thing and then go vote and push an entirely different button than Obama’s.

    I think it’s terrible how the superdelegate who abandoned Hillary and admits that he doesn’t care about doing it seems to forget, at the same time, that people have a right to make up their own minds while the voting in their states are still going on. How dare he and the other Democratic elitists make the decision without letting the process run its course. They do not want to listen but obviously want to make a decision early that will fill their own needs. The excuse that the campaigns are doing damage to the party is not the real motive; it is simply a power struggle whereby certain people in more powerful positions want their opinion and choices to rule. This is definitely not the Democratic way!

    Agree totally Jennifer. The problem is they have the power and this race is a clear indicator of how the people of the Untied States have no power at all. People went to the DNC and they protested Michigan and Florida not being seated and yet no one covered it but MSNBC. They demanded Howard Dean come out and chat with them and he was not there of course. It is obvious that they want BO in for the nominee and they will stop at nothing to reach this goal, even disenfranchising millions of voters to do so. People are being bullied, pushed around, and they are basically being told to back off from Obama. He is clearly not electable so IO guess this is ok also as long as Hillary is NOT the nominee so they can get their revenge. This entire election stinks.
