Superdelegates Take Notice!

Today I got to thinking about superdelegates and their endorsements.  Every time Obama loses or he gets into some form of trouble he makes announcements that he has a bunch of SD’s who are coming out to endorse him.  Each time there are also articles like this one which claim BO has the majority of SD’s in his pocket.

I thought a lot about this today and tried to put myself in the position of an SD. Would I endorse Obama?  No way.  Why? It is simple, Obama is not electable in my mind.  I would be looking back over what he has done, Naftagate, the connection with Ayers, Rezko, Wright, Farrakhan, Dohrn, Million Man March, voting against the Infant Protection Act, Fingergate to name just a few. Then there are the lies over he didn’t know, then he did, then he didn’t with the Wright issue.

 I would be thinking about the over 2,000 complaints turned in from Texas from people who had been harassed by Obama supporters, how they tried to gain access to the Ohio primaries with false letters, how they sent voters to other voting places, how they had dead people voting for him, how Obama lied and got the Ohio voting polls open later in his districts to get more people in. If I was a super delegate, I would RUN from him.  More than anything I would keep in mind what my people voted in my district and think about them as well.  It is not an easy place to be in for a SD and to be honest I am glad I don’t have the position.  It is like Obama is toxic as the Republicans are using Obama all over the place in their attack campaign ads against all their opponents who have endorsed him.

I know there is a lot more than just ethics involved here as it also depends on what is promised and how much money changed hands.  It shouldn’t be this way but it is and it is a terrible system.  If we had the same system as the Republicans, Hillary would have been the nominee a long time ago.  But we don’t so we have to let this play out. 

On the lighter side, Hillary Clinton was endorsed by another SD today and her campaign has announced as reported on MSNBC that there will be upcoming multiple endorsements soon.  Today Pennsylvania Superdelegate, State AFL-CIO President Bill George backed Hillary.
