Obama’s Record on Abortion

While out on the campaign trail, Obama spoke out to a crowd and told them that he does want his daughters “punished with a baby” or an STD if they make a mistake. 

Obama actually compared a baby to an STD!  Basically, he thinks a baby is a disease? This should not be to shocking given his voting record on abortion.  Obama’s most controversial stand to date involves abortion and what most consider to be “infanticide.”

• In a 2004 fund-raising letter for her husband, Michelle Obama referred to the brutal partial birth abortion as a “legitimate medical procedure.”
• In 2001 and 2002, Obama was the only Illinois senator to speak against the “Born Alive Infants Protection Act” on the Senate floor and in 2003 killed the bill in committee. This would have outlawed a practice first uncovered in his state known as a “live birth abortion,” where labor is induced and an infant is delivered prematurely only to be put in some dark corner of a hospital until she expires on her own.

Thankfully, the U.S. Congress outlawed the practice before Obama arrived in Washington after most pro-abortion supporters dropped their opposition for fear of appearing extreme.

 How could a man compare an innocent baby to an STD?  How could Obama elect to have a baby born alive and then shove it into a corner to die, cold, alone and frightened?  This makes me sick.  Where are Obama’s morals?    Whether you are pro life or pro choice this is just plain wrong.  It is barbaric and horrific in its implications.  He is for this?  He sees nothing WRONG with this? If a baby is born alive according to the courts if it has taken its first breath then it is a person and is allowed the same rights as any other person.  So how can it be thrown away in a dark corner to die? 

This is cold, unmerciful and just plain wrong.  I don’t care what your position on abortion is this is immoral.  Obama supports this infanticide and he alone voted against giving these babies any help.  This is totally deplorable as it is like taking any baby who is born alive, refusing to give it any help and letting it die.  If the child has survived an abortion, is crying and trying to live it should be given the same consideration as any human being.  This is just plain sickening and immorally wrong.  There is nothing I can say on this.  It speaks for itself.  It is shocking and disgusting and I am outraged. 

The Catholic Church takes this stand according to the Holy See: 

 Divine law and natural reason, therefore, exclude all right to the direct killing of an innocent man. However, if the reasons given to justify an abortion were always manifestly evil and valueless the problem would not be so dramatic. The gravity of the problem comes from the fact that in certain cases, perhaps in quite a considerable number of cases, by denying abortion one endangers important values to which it is normal to attach great value, and which may sometimes even seem to have priority. We do not deny these very great difficulties. It may be a serious question of health, sometimes of life or death, for the mother; it may be the burden represented by an additional child, especially if there are good reasons to fear that the child will be abnormal or retarded; it may be the importance attributed in different classes of society to considerations of honor or dishonor, of loss of social standing, and so forth. We proclaim only that none of these reasons can ever objectively confer the right to dispose of another’s life, even when that life is only beginning. With regard to the future unhappiness of the child, no one, not even the father or mother, can act as its substitute- even if it is still in the embryonic stage- to choose in the child’s name, life or death. The child itself, when grown up, will never have the right to choose suicide; no more may his parents choose death for the child while it is not of an age to decide for itself. Life is too fundamental a value to be weighed against even very serious disadvantages.
