I was watching the talk show The View on 3/24/08. I had been watching this show more often because of Whoopi Goldberg. I liked what she had brought to the show, balance, wisdom, fairness, respectfulness and objectivity. After what I watched during the Obama Hot Topic discussion on 3/24/08, I will no longer be watching much any more. I can also assure The View that lots of viewers will not be watching either.
Basically this is what happened - Elisabeth was the only one who talked about the reality of Obama and the Rev Jeremiah Wright scandal. The rest of the panel turned against her and provided support for Obama and Wright. Whoopi even told Elisabeth that she was a 12 year old girl. The rest of the panel tried to explain away and make excuses for the Rev Wright’s numerous inappropriate Anti-American sermons. They also were unsupportive of Hillary Clinton and John McCain.
Unfortunately, FYI , The View panel, except for probably Elisabeth are ALL EXCITED that Obama will be making a guest appearance on The View this Friday March 28, 2008 on ABC. I say BOYCOTT this show. I know I will be and lots of other viewers too.
Obviously, the current panel members on ‘The View’ are not representing the real views that are really happening pertaining to Obama. Sadly, the qualities of balance, wisdom, fairness, respectfulness and objectivity have gone out the window on this show.

Unfortunately, Obama’s community organizing and other skills really served him well in engineering a Presidential campaign that addresses people’s desire for a new face on the scene, their hunger for change and a sense of feeling empowered, and their anger and disatisfaction with the status quo and where they see the country is heading. The people he chooses to surround himself with in his campaign also often tend to very aggressively go right after the other candidates as well as anything that appears in the news that doesn’t uphold Obama’s image or present him in a favorable light, e.g. his tax returns show he increased his income substantially over the past few years and yet gave only about 1% to charities. Immediately, Obama’s spokespeople contacted the media and made them aware he gave much more in 2007 so they could print that which they did right afterwards. (However, the motive for this increase in giving to charity may have more to do with keeping a good image when running for the Presidency than it does to a change of heart or increased generosity last year.) Also, the Obama girl video is another example. In the latest, she pleads for Clinton to stop her verbal attacks on Obama! Of course, the verbal attacks by Obama on Clinton are not mentioned. Also, the news of this video has been appearing on all the major media stations for more than a day so that people see or hear about it over and over again. Nevertheless, while the Obama campaign has more money and related resources than the other candidates at this time, and it has certain advantages in this election that continue to play well with the media and shape public opinion, the bubble will burst at some point as reality sets in. However, it may be too late for the country if his strategies work and he manges to get elected. Concerned citizens need to continue to find out more about Obama, find ways to get the facts publicized, and chip away at the unreal image that is being marketed.

Hi angel. I watched the video on this and found it disgusting. I was very disappointed in Whoopie, always liked her. Won’t watch her anymore. By the way did anyone see that for the first time Ellen beat Oprah out on being the favorite daytime host? Oprah only got 19 percent of the voted and Ellen scored extremely high. That is quite a statement from people since Oprah is connected to Obama.

I’m so sorry I missed the View this morning. I accidentally taped the WRONG channel…….I could kick myself. Anywhere on the net I can watch it?
I also see where mainly the media, and recently some polls, are just about kissing B. O.s feet on every matter, while attacking Hillary at every turn. Pretty disgusting if you ask me.
I don’t feel he has nearly the experience to lead this country.

The tactic(fear & ignorance) used by the conservatives and ill-informed is nothing new. Just the thought of having a qualified candidate that doesn’t look like “white america” will cause people to panic in their responses. Look what they did with the image of Jesus, in spite of His description in the scriptures. Elisabeth goes out of her way to magnify her attack Obama, unlike Hilary, even though she’s obviously Republican.
