Obama’s Speech on Race, his Pastor Wright and his church

”I have already condemned, in unequivocal terms, the statements of Reverend Wright that have caused such controversy. For some, nagging questions remain. Did I know him to be an occasionally fierce critic of American domestic and foreign policy? Of course. Did I ever hear him make remarks that could be considered controversial while I sat in church? Yes.”
What a liar! If you so strongly disagreed with these types of statement you would have walked out of the church and left. You chose to stay, to listen to these remarks for 20 years and now you say you cannot walk away from this hate monger? All weekend long Obama has said he had no idea of statements like this, that he has never heard any of these types of words, he knew nothing. He flat out, blatantly lied to the Untied States people again. He admits he heard these remarks, he admits that he was there after lying over and over again that he was not.
Then he turns around and uses his white grandmother whom he has had hidden all of this time while he touts his Kenya connection to his not blood grandmother as his true heritage? The thing is, he admits his grandmother is racist!
“A woman who helped raise me, a woman who sacrificed again and again for me, a woman who loves me as much as she loves anything in this world, but a woman who once confessed her fear of black men who passed by her on the street, and who on more than one occasion has uttered racial or ethnic stereotypes that made me cringe.”
Obama refers to Hillary as playing the race card;
“We can pounce on some gaffe by a Hillary supporter as evidence that she’s playing the race card”
Hillary has stayed totally out of this, has not mentioned it, has not made one remark about it. Yet it has been Obama over and over again whose played the race card at every turn. Then God forbid he calls Geraldine Ferarro a hidden racist! Oh Please! A woman of her reputation and history a racist? Ya right!
“We can dismiss Reverend Wright as a crank or a demagogue, just as some have dismissed Geraldine Ferraro, in the aftermath of her recent statements, as harboring some deep-seated racial bias.”
Did Obama do enough with this speech to dispel the problems about the Reverend Wright? Hell no he did not. Obama accepts him and said he cannot disown him. Thus Obama has acknowledged and accepts Rev Wright’s teachings fully, totally and over the objections of the American People. Obama did nothing more than to bash people again, not to take the blame again, to shift it off on other people again to let the world know he is a liar again. Obama thinks this was a wonderful, unifying speech? Oh Please! There was nothing wonderful about it! How dare Obama support this Rev Wright who has damned America, made racist statements and spewed out hate against this great country? How dare he bash his white grandmother as a racist, Hillary Clinton as a racist and Geraldine Ferraro as a racist? Who does he think he is? This man will do anything to win and anyone is fair game who gets in his way! This is the man who will unite us? I don’t think so. Obama sat for 20 years listening to this hate, hell and discontent about this great nation and we are to make him president of the United States?
He even got desperate when all the heat was on him and called the Chicago papers and said ok, I was closer to Rezko than I had previously told you so it was during all the heat on the Wright stuff so it got buried in the papers. Another lie on Obama’s part! What next Obama, what new lies do you have for us? I can hardly wait to see what is next!

Hey guess what, the jerk also blocked Florida and Michigan from getting a re vote! I want to see his tax records he refuses to release, I want to see his senate record which he claims he lost I want to see how many ear marks he got and how much money he channeled into his wife’s company! what a liar! For his own personal gain he has silenced the voices of over two million voters! What a snake in the grass. America we are being PLAYED!! Lets get a petition for him to STEP DOWN NOW!

What a jerk! This speech did nothing more today than to make me madder! He threw his own grandmother under the bus! Disgusting and then to top it off he fought and dragged his feet to get Florida and Michigan not to be able to do another vote! He is ANTI AMERICAN and a thief and liar! Enough! If we the people start having our voices heard we can put a stop to this lying idiot. Write your congressmen, senators, write the President, the TV stations and make your voices heard about how you feel about this person! He comes out and gives us speeches on race? Look at his own background he is an joke! His whole life is lies. A good man once said show me a man’s friends and I will tell you all about him. Well Obama sure has some great friends doesn’t he? Which one we like best, Wright? Averys? Risko? A racist, terrorist or a thief! Stay with your church Obamie as it is perfect for you! I am outraged by this man! He is sick and disgusting. I would not walk across the street to spit on him if he was on fire! I have not voted yet and had full intention of voting for him here in Oregon but no way would I ever cast a vote for this man. I am going to go out and campaign for Hillary Clinton and encourage everyone else out here who has not voted to do the same. He is such a liar! How dare him call Geraldine Ferraro a racist! I seen a post earlier and agree with it, Obama has not pulled the race card he has pulled the whole deck!

What a piece of work he is! I was insulted by his speech as a white, highly educated male. He denounces his Pastor’s words but not the man and stays with the church? Ya, right! Who does he think he is fooling? I can tell you it is not the people of America as the only person he is fooling is himself. This man needs to be forced to step aside before he embarrasses America any further.

There’s definitely some interesting points in this article. There’s no way any rational human being can look at the things that Obama says and his explanations and denials and compare them to the realities around him and not see discrepancies and inconsistencies over and over again. Obama’s talent for motivational speaking, marketing, and salesmanship can only go far.

People of the United States take a stand. Do not go to his rallies, do not go to his speeches, turn him off from your televisions and do not give this man your votes. If he can stay with a man who is a known racist and hates America so much then America speak back and show your anger! Avoid him, ban him, do not listen to him and speak by your silence! Show this man NO ONE bashes AMERICA and then seeks its approval for doing so by their failure to denounce the man whose doing the anti America bashing.

I am very concerned that there are those in the Democratic Party elite who actually want us to vote this man into the Presidency as our country’s leader! There are so many significant questions and so many issues that are not being addressed. And where is he getting so much money for his campaign? He is raising more than either Hillary or McCain. Also, he is probably financially backed by at least certain groups and individuals with more extremist views who can relate to his messages and those of his good friends such as Pastor Wright, etc. For a man who started his campaign as an “outsider” and someone who wasn’t like the other politicians out there, he seems to be showing that he is really no different from the typical shady politicians he criticizes who cut deals, say whatever people want to hear, are evasive and do not tell the complete truth, etc.

It is not good when people vote for someone just because they like him. Obama has nothing behind him and this clearly shows he has many questionable traits. This man needs to be stopped and I pray the voters are going to see through his lies and do not vote for him. I also hope the super delegates jump behind Hillary and stop this man as well. Now would be good before it is too late.

I agree with the above postings. This man is an embarrassment to America and a large embarrassment to the Democratic party. I have written Howard Dean, the Governors, and every one else I CAN THINK OF. Obama needs to be sat down with by the party and told to get out of this race. He copies everything Hillary does. I am so tired of him quoting MLK and JFK as if he is anything like either one of them. The man is a lair who has proven over and over again he could care less about the voters as long as he gets his own way. His wife is NOT first lady material and his belief system is a disaster. I am writing everyone to get him removed and urge everyone else to do the same. COMPLAINE! He was obnoxious using “HOODWINKED” and “BAMBOOZLED” in his Louisiana campaign in a fake southern accent. It didn’t work for Malcolm X either when he used it. This man is a black eye on the USA and needs to step down.

Obama is arrogant a liar and a cheat. He does not need to be in this race at all. I don’t want him to represent America or my people. My Pastor don’t talk like this and if he did I would surly walk off from him like Opraha did. She left that church and did not go back because she knew this was not right. Obama is not the candidate of choice and he needs to leave the race. He is a lair a bare faced liar at that and I am not gonna let my children hear no more of his lies. He comes on the TV I turn it off as I am not going to let his lies into my house.

I read this article and I wanted to cry. I have been coming here and reading the articles as they are very good and always have a lot of information but this one made me decide to post. How can he get away with this? Why isn’t the people outraged enough that they are telling him to step down or get out? He is not electable, he is not a good candidate and he needs to leave so why are not the party leaders telling him to get out of the race?

I agree with the sentiments of the people above. Also, there are many good black legislators out there with experience and a record of helping to pass effective legislation, good associations, visible family ties,etc. who would have made far better candidates for the Democratic Party than Obama this year. I just don’t know how this man managed to raise so much funds and get the support of the Democratic Party behind him. If he wins the nomination, I will have to vote for Nadar or McCain. Obama gives eloquent speeches and makes promises that sound very good, but it takes alot more than this to run an entire country and foreign affairs.

This man is a total jerk. I can’t believe what has been happening all over the news with this guy. I wrote Howard Dean today and told him I wont this moron to step off this election. He has no place trying to represent America. Just what we need a lair in the white house trying to do forign policy., He also agreed that he would not run for President when he was elected into the Senate but that is another lie he got out here huh. His judgement is basically very unsound. He can’t keep a promise and he hides behind the skirts of his campaign. The man is nothing because a liar is nothing. A man is only as good as his word and Obama’s word is trash. If I was his grandmother I would box his ears for calling me a racist! What a jerk the willingness of using his own family for his personal gains says everything. Am I mad? You bet I am mad. Racism is a two way street and his pastor is a racist. He is anti American and the simple fact that Obama listened to this for twenty years says he agrees with it. No man listens to things he does not want to hear or does not agree with. I want no part of this person for President and this is NOT going to go away.

I am so disgusted by this. I don’t understand how he could sit there and try to defend this man. Disgusting. This has made me just sick. There is no way this man should even be considered for an election. I am writing the super delegates about this ad I am totally disgusted. I agree Obama should get out of this race.
