What is the Difference in the teachings of Obama’s Pastor and that of Terrorist Extremists?
Thoughts from a Special Obama Who ? contributor;
Today I got the weirdest notion, I watched the video over again of Obama’s preacher and it dawned on me, what is the difference in the teachings of Obama’s pastor Rev. Wright and that of Extremists?
They both teach hate of the United States. The extremists have praised the attacks on 9/11 and Obama’s preacher has stated that America deserved to be attacked because of our aggression and murder has “finally come home to roost.” The extremists have accused the United States of murder, so has Obama’s preacher Rev. Wright.
I listened to Obama last night trying to defend his preacher on the one hand then renouncing him on the other. Obama did not say he would leave the Trinity United church of Christ. He said that he would continue going there under the new minister. It is apparent that Obama is clearly torn between his loyalties. I truly believe that Obama has been present in church when this Rev Wright radical preacher was ranting and raving with hate speeches. I also believe that Obama has been influenced by him a lot more than just using one of his sermons to write a book. I keep thinking of the quote Obama used to describe the ‘white grandparents’ who raised him. Obama refers to them as “those white people.”
Now when you look at how terrorists train people they constantly point out the oppressed state they are in and blame it on America. They tell them how the white devil has made their life as terrible as it is and blame every wrong thing that happens on America. Obama’s preacher tells people how the “Rich White America” has caused the plight of the black man by giving them drugs and ruining their lives. What is the difference in their teachings? I honestly do not see any. They say this is social preaching, I say it is teaching hate.
Are we inspired by our churches? Yes, we are. Would these types of preaching have rubbed off on Obama? Of course they would have. Obama adores this preacher, he defends Wright. Obama wrote a book based on one of his sermons and no matter what he says, he accepts this man and his teachings. Twenty years he has been a member of this church, twenty years. If Obama found this type of preaching offensive he would have left this church long ago but he chose to stay. There had to be something in the man’s sermons that Obama liked or he would have rejected this man a long time ago, not now, not when it is in his best interest to do so, but years ago. Obama stayed, he admires this guy, he listens to him, he is very close to him and this is a silent acknowledgement that he accepts this man and his teachings whether he wants to honestly admit it or not. There is no way that Obama could have sat in this church and listened to Jeremiah Wright’s ranting and ravings for twenty years and not had it ingrained into his thinking or not have it influenced him.
The problem is what has been ingrained? Obama refers to his white grandparents as “those white folks” so apparently some of the “rich white America” statements have rubbed off. Don’t you think that the fact that these white people took him, raised him, paid for and sent him to good schools, fed him, housed him and clothed him would exhibit to him an expression of love? Do these supportive grand parents deserve to be called “those white folks?”
What exactly did Obama take away from Wright’s preaching? What exactly kept him going to this church, donating to this man, listening to these sermons, seeking this man out to pray with and for advice? The man Obama admires is a racist who blatantly condemns white America, condemns white people and has said we deserved 9/11 as it has “finally come home to roost?” Rev. Jeremiah Wright is in a church cussing and humping a podium while trashing people in the name of God? Huh? He refers to Obama as the Messiah? Huh?
This is something to honestly think about. This is not a church where the love of God is being taught, it is teaching hate. It teaches hate of the very country which has made it possible for this preacher to go to school to become a preacher, made it possible for him to be able to preach, made it possible for the church to stand without fear of government intervention of being shut down and made it possible for him to be free enough to speak his mind. Wright damns America because he is black and blames America for the plight of the blacks? Who does Wright damn in Africa where the people are still enslaved, where disease is widespread, where the people are not free to speak their minds and where oppression is a daily thing? Who is to blame for these people’s plights? It is so easy to sit in a rich white America in a church where you are free, well fed and clothed and damn the country which has made it all possible for you Rev. Wright now isn’t it. This country and its freedom has been well fought over. America’s freedoms have been paid for by the blood of its brave and heroic soldiers of all nationalities and of all colors with their sacrifices of lives, pain and bravery are something which this country stands on and is damned proud of. Americans may take a lot of things but one thing as a nation we will never take is our country being bashed and damned.

While we can’t hold Obama responsible for everything Jermimiah Wright says, we can glean from the fact that He was in this church for so long, his children were baptized by him, and his Wright Married he and Mrs Obama. It would be a lie on anyone’s part to say that a person who has that much influence in your life does not inform your thinking. It would be impossible for it not to.
In all fairness i have only heard Rev. Wrights messages that have been televised as of late, so I can’t say that he is always like this, however what I will say, is that much of what I’ve heard is taking the bible completely out of context and making it say things it absolutely does not say.
I don’t see how his message, is helping “his people.” Its obvious that is what he’s about. Obama does not have that option. If he is going to be president, then he must be everyones president, not just “his people’s” president, and by the way, if he is going to represent “his people,” and “his people are defined by his race, than, “his people are as much white as they are black, because he is as much white as he is black. This is a question that should be posed to him. “Is he ashamed of his White background?” I believe it is an important question.
I will say to that we should be careful that we do not put all African American people even people who are not in agreement with us politically in the same boat as Jeremiah Wright, because that would be a shame, and only create more division, because its just not true.

Your thought is not that weird as I thought the same thing. I have been to black churches several times with friends and sometimes they are very exciting as the preacher gave out the word on Jesus but I have never, ever seen anything like this one. This way of preaching is not acceptable. You don’t teach people to hate a country.

Why? Why would a presidential candidate go to a church like this, not renounce it and now talk about his former pastor? He would still be the pastor of Obamas church if he didn’t JUST retire. I am sorry Obama but this is a little to late and a mile to short. You can’t white wash twenty years of this type of teaching in one week. There is no way to recover from this, no way at all. You have duped this country, lied over and over again and are not fit to be the President. Step down and do what is right, clean up your act and then try again some other time when you have yourself together. Currently you have no business being in the race for being President. You sir re as disgusting as your minister by saying you reject these actions but refusing to leave the church you clearly show you accept them. This will be another back room deal just like NAFTAGATE. He will tell us one thing and then be on the phone with the preacher crying, I am soooo sorry man I have to say these things but you know how I really feel. Obama lies so much he can’t keep them all straight. Think about it people.

For him to keep going to this church with their preaching and racist attitudes is a hypocrisy. He clearly does agree with this type of thought. I live in Indiana and there is no way I would vote for anyone who hates America and his church is an extension of him as he goes there he clearly must share their value systems. SICK. Oh and by the way…GOD BLESS AMERICA!

This article really ticked me off! Know why? Because it is right, dead right! Sure we can’t blame Obama for what his minister said but we CAN blame him for listening this trash, to staying with this church, for sticking up for this pastor, for trying to cover it up now the man has retired but if he had not of retired I bet you $5.00 Obama would still be going there anyway. Your right, they do teach hate and racism and it is disgusting and sick. No man who has listened to this kind of filth for twenty years could not have been affected by it, could not disagree with it as if he did he would have rejected it a LONG time ago and now when it bites him in the ass he can say I reject it? Ya right he does. What a liar.

Has anyone else noticed that Obama is not too bright? He clearly does not know what is going on! He did not know how to vote in the Senate by pushing the buttons wrong six times. He did not know his pastor preaches like this, he did not know his foreign advisor said the things she does, he doesn’t know Rezko is in trouble, he doesn’t know Averys is a bomber, he doesn’t know what is going on round him at all does he? He said these are “bone head” mistakes so we are to then assume that Obama is a bone head who does not have a clue on what is going on around him? If he can’t control his own actions how can he run this country?

I want my vote back, I want my donation back and I want you out of this race Obama. Your such a liar.

Obama has lied to us all. He knew exactly what Rev. Wright was about. He’s been attending this church for 20 years. Did he sit in that church and not listen to these racists remarks. Please. Wake up people. This is not the president I want for America.

Great post. Hate needs to be examined from all sides. I thought that it was interesting today when Fox released a story stating that Obama called for Imus’ firing. Not only did he call for his firing, he was the first candidate to do so. According to Obama (ref. to Imus)
“He didn’t just cross the line,” Obama said. “He fed into some of the worst stereotypes that my two young daughters are having to deal with today in America.”
Now, I’m not justifying what Imus said-I’m just saying that Rev. Wright went a little further than the shock jock. This double standard is ridiculous in America. Obama is looking more and more like a typical politician everyday rather than someone searching for “change”. His candidacy for President is quickly starting to come apart, and as long as he keeps doing soft-ball interviews about the topic at hand-he’s done.
